ABOUT

The UMass Men’s Football Club is comprised of UMass Amherst students, faculty, and staff. We participate in soccer related events in order to promote the sport throughout the university campus, the town of Amherst, and the State of Massachusetts. Members strive for excellence in performance, teamwork, and education. We are proudly affiliated with NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association) and compete against soccer clubs from other universities throughout the US. We participate in the NIRSA Region 1 Club Soccer League against teams in the North Division with the goal of qualifying for the regional tournament and ultimately for the national tournament. The President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary comprise the Board. Tryouts are held at the beginning of every fall and spring semester. Member dues along with funding from the Camous Recreation Program cover league fees, equipment, uniforms, etc. We hold mandatory practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm behind McGuirk Alumni Stadium. Along with practice and games, members are required to participate in community service events, in fundraising opportunities, and in supporting other UMass Sport Clubs.
